Event solutions magazine recently announced that Jen Poyer, CSEP of long beach, California, has been selected as a finalist for the event of industry-wide Spotlight Awards in the category of organizational planner of the year.

The 2011 finalists for the annual Spotlight Awards were selected from over 600 candidates from around the world. The Spotlight Awards have honored and celebrated event professionals and industry of event companies for your extraordinary body of work over a year since 1998. The Spotlight Awards recognize professionalism 15 different categories of event.

Poyer life lived in long beach, and has been active at the special event industry. Recently completed a successful tenure as President of the greater Los Angeles chapter of you international special events society (ISES). Since 1985 the chorus of masters of harmony rose to the highest levels of the choral singing and earned an international reputation for his mastery of tech savvy close harmony a cappella style. Police hope surveillance video will help identify suspect in liquor store murder

Police released surveillance video of the suspect, a liquor store employee during a robbery on Saturday killed.

Saturday, January, just before 8: 00 pm long beach police officers has responded to a convenience store in the 1900 block of East 4th Street call the shots. Ronald Reagan on the State of the Union

As we to Ronald Reagan's 100th birthday celebrate and respond to the State of the Union address, it is appropriate to note that Reagan was the consummate performer from first to last. I lived status of the Union addresses in Washington, D.C., during all Reagan. Delivered its first 26 Jan. 1982 was, and what followed was a terrible tragedy in Washington. On Dec. 13 had a Jet air Florida too much ice on the wings of the icy Potomac River popped onto 14th Street. A hero, Lenny Skutnik pigeon in these icy waters and more rescued survivors.

As I drank my Martini, the Bush news segment began with a long history of Bush's involvement with Iran Contra. After a commercial break, rather the live interview and it was quickly testy. If still rather said Vice President Bush about the Iran Contra, derision, rather "like you if everyone was alerted when you went from this set in Miami?" Quite rudely cut Vice President of Bush's attack, went to a commercial unawares Our dinner party was buzzing with the effects of what had just happened.

Reagan announced that his speech would "four basic targets" organized and went with his address. Then came a unconventional moment. Reagan claimed that "last year 13 appropriations bills by October 1st, neither of you made it due...." And then came this giant. Suddenly stacks of paper that sits close to presidential attention was everyone's high. He pulled over and one lifted up and carried it back to his lectern: "This is the Conference report - a 1,053 weighing page 14 books." He smacked down the stack, much laugh and another. "Then this is..." "1186 Pages long, weighing 15 pounds." He had it and took another thread, again on the continuation, laughing and cheering. "[T] pages he long term still resolution - 1057 long, 14 pounds weighing." He smacked it down and then continue to much laugh "that was a total of 43 kilos of paper and ink." Congress should not one of these send.... "If you do, I signed it." Congress broke with applause and cheers. Was the signature Reagan: the use of a litany of statistics, illustrated by the mountains of paper and with an effective Pointe closed.

Won over the audience, Reagan could help Vice President Bush now. As he moved into Iran Contra politics, was his audience all ears. "Because the freedom fighter... have the Sandinistas, forced to extend some democratic rights, negotiate with church authorities and release a few political prisoners." We had Nicaragua been for what foreigners as "Lafayette Pulaki and Stuben" were the American Revolution. There was no excuse for all the actions that took over he or his Vice President.

It was not for nothing that he was the great Communicator in memory. Let's hope future Presidents take note.

Reduce USPS lean of green teams, energy, water, waste

Sustainability initiatives from the USPS include free eco-friendly packaging for postal customers.

Lean Green team of postal services, energy, saving the Agency helped more than $5 million to reduce water, solid waste disposal sites and petroleum fuel use, in 2010. The postal service-recycle more than 222,000 tonnes of material helped environmental policies – an increase of almost 8,000 tonnes as compared to the previous year $13 million generated revenue and save an additional $9.1 million in landfill fees.

"Across the country, postal employees in more than 80 cross-functional lean green teams are involved, producing significant results in energy reduction and resource conservation," said Emil Dzuray, Chief Sustainability Officer active.

Lean green teams rely on the postal service's efforts to create a culture of conservation and its long history of environmental and socially responsible leadership. The teams are helping mesh cost and no-cost sustainable practices with performance management systems, the postal service apply to help the following reduction goals by 2015:

Facility energy use 30 Percentwater use 10 Percentpetroleum fuel use 20 Percentlandfill waste 50 percent.

The postal service is Dzuray on the way to achieve these goals, and plans to provide lean green teams nationwide by 2012.

"With nearly 32,000 facilities, a presence in every community and the largest civilian fleet in the nation, we know how important are our efforts to make positive impact on the environment" Dzuray added. "Our employee green teams are an important part to reduce our carbon footprint and building a culture of conservation."

As part of its green efforts buys the postal service sustainable materials and consumables is you reduce buys. The Agency developed a first "buy green" politics more than 12 years ago and has a goal to reduce expenditure on consumables 30 percent by 2020. 16 Percent over the previous year was reduced its consumables expenditure in 2009.
